Really good food, but really slow service. Watching the employees move really slow makes it even more unpleasant. It is also pretty expensive.

We had dinner at the Smiling Moose Deli in Rapid City, South Dakota last night and we're back again for breakfast. Fresh food. Great value. Friendly staff. Clean store. Nice vegetarian options. The Veggie Mo is my favorite.

Food was not as good as my first time. It seemed like it was left in the oven for too long and was overdone. It also took a lot longer to get my food than the first visit. The only thing that was good was the rice krispy bar.

Every sandwich and salad I have had here has been very good. The staff has always been very friendly. A pretty good fast casual place not to expensive and the sandwiches are very big.

Very busy Monday lunch. They handled a group of 10 of us pretty well while still helping others get through the line (2 employees at the counter). Employees weren't outstanding in any way but handled our group well and professionally. Great food with large variety.

Have been here 3 times this past month, each time hoping for it to get better. I prefer Panera, but there isn't one in Rapid City. I feel like Smiling Moose uses cheap quality ingredients and the prices are absurd. $10 a cup of soup and half grilled cheese is a bit steep IMO. The people who work there are very "edgy" and seem to goof around rather than act professional or at least friendly. I doubt ill be going back.

The food was great but the service was awful. Not only were they very slow, they were really rude. We had the Greek salad and my husband had a turkey sandwich and they were both really good, my kids had the egg, bacon bagel sandwich and the they liked it but the bacon was the fake variety which is unfortunate.

I am very excited to have found such a fun place to eat. They have decent size gluten free menu which I love as I suffer from celiac. The pop machine is fun but the line is way too long, they really should have two or three.

I have not had anything here i didnt like. If you can get past the unfriendly service and dont mind them getting your order wrong, enjoy your lunch here...seriously, the food is good, the service is HORRIBLE

EXCELLENT SALAD!!!!! Cup of soup comes with half baguette that is also AMAZING! Great for lunch. Maybe the best salad I've ever eaten!! The salad was a chicken pecan cranberry something wonderful concoction.

WOw came in here after a long days drive and couldn't have found a better sandwhich. I just said give me the good stuff and I believe they called it a "mo" or something. SUPER!

Don't even try to eat here if you have a food allergy of any kind!! Their menu specifically says "Ask about our vegetarian/vegan options". When asked about the vegan options, the staff proceeded to tell us that we could have three different sandwiches- one with cheese, one with mayo, and one with both! Obviously they do not know anything about being vegan. They also serve their judgment about being vegan with a heaping side of attitude. Their staff "eats meat so doesn't know what else could be available."

Came in on a weekday morning and was the only person there. I ordered a sandwich from the menus which came on very good bread. The deli meats themselves were sliced a little too thinly for my liking and seemed as though they don't slice their own meats there. It just seemed very cheap for a place that calls itself a deli. Price was a little steep for a round sandwich, drink, and chips. I'd probably go back to try it again but it wouldn't be anywhere near my first choice.

Not a bad place.. Fist time here and ordered the mile-hi Thai and chicken noodle soup. It was pretty good. They also have one of those coca cola fountain machines that make a million different drinks. Setting was nice I would re-visit
